The Stats
The Queensland Pubic Service Commission releases Workforce Statistics. The Pubic Service Workforce Profile as at March 2011 reveals there are 130 854.09 females and 73 319.93 males currently working in the Queensland Public Service on a full-time basis (FTEs) as shown below.

It is estimated that by 2019, women will have on average half the amount of superannuation that men will have. The Office of Women has released a paper which considers the issues that contribute to women having lower superannuation balances than men, and suggests some strategies for improving the financial situation of women in retirement.
